Dr. Kutlu graduated with a degree in Biology from Johns Hopkins University in 1984.  He subsequently graduated from the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in 1988.

He completed a highly selective 5-year residency in General Surgery at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center and a fellowship in Plastic Surgery at Albert Einstein College of Medicine – Montefiore Medical Center.

Dr. Kutlu received his original board certification in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery in 1997 and underwent recertification in 2006.
